Let's narrow things down a little further.
Great question! Democracy Notes is a trade publication and field-support organization for people working to protect and renew American democracy. (What's a trade publication? It's a publication for a particular ecosystem, field, or sector.)
Our mission is to make our community, the U.S. democracy space, as effective as possible. We work toward that mission by connecting people in our community to information and to each other.
Last but not least, Democracy Notes is a fiscally sponsored project of Independence Initiative, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
Burnout kept popping up on our radar!
The Democracy Notes Wellbeing Resource Library is a tool to help people working on U.S. democracy find resources to support their (or their organization's) wellbeing.
And…it's in beta! We'd love to hear your feedback.
We've taken an inclusive approach both to the types of resources listed and to the types of actors supporting U.S. democracy. That said, we know what's currently listed is incomplete! We welcome your suggestions on additional resources to include (more on that below).
Democracy Notes hasn't vetted the resources listed here and inclusion in the library isn't an endorsement from our team. We've opted to list as many resources as possible in order to meet as many folks' needs as possible.
You can submit a resource using this form. Our team will review your resource and follow up if we have any questions.
If you're the creator or owner of a resource and would like it removed, please fill out this form.
